VeloPark Cycle Race & Dinner

NEWS |

NLA have announced a very special event organised in association with Club Peloton that will be taking place on 14 September to mark the end of NLA’s Stratford residency, bring together the Patrons and supporters of the London Festival of Architecture 2022, and provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the sporting and architectural legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The dinner will be hosted in the centre of the velodrome at Lee Valley VeloPark, with 400 guests cheering on riders from 8 mixed teams of 4 cyclists representing developments or development areas of London, as well as hearing from some inspiring speakers!

The races will be pitched between the fastest riders from the 8 teams, each of whom will have had personal training on the velodrome track that afternoon, competing in time trials and earning their place in the final.

Prizes
will be awarded on the night to the fastest team, fastest individual riders and the most improved riders on the day, made up of the combined times achieved by each rider throughout the afternoon.

There are a number of ways that you can get involved, but don’t delay as we are expecting demand to outstrip supply for this one-off event.

  • Headline Sponsorship
  • Team Entry (2 male, 2 female riders representing developments / development areas of London)
  • Category prize sponsorship
  • Tables at the dinner (10 people)

And don’t forget: all proceeds from the event will go to Club Peloton’s chosen charities!

To find out more and register your interest to enter a team, book a table, or take up a sponsorship opportunity please email velorace@nla.london.

We’d love to see mixed teams (gender, age, ability, profession) drawn from the development teams that have created some of London’s best new architecture from the last decade across London represented, so please do get involved in any way that you can!
