A walk with a purpose - to record working class 'Art in everyday life' the unique remaining St Pancras social housing heritage by sculptor Gilbert Bayes.
Enjoy a guided walk and access unseen 'Fairy Tale of St Pancras' estates.
Followed by a 3D scannathon workshop at the Museum of Somers Town.
Gilbert Bayes Doultonware Ceramics adorn working class estates atop drying posts and on buildings.
Hidden London Guide Steve Mccarthy leads us round the estates, and will explain the inspiration behind the names St Nicolas; St Francis, from Hans Christian Andersson Tales and lives of Saints.
We then retire to the Museum to a workshop guided by Central Saint Martin's artists to help us record our findings and digitally re-create the 'missing' finials, as well as view remaining finials in images.
Walk on Donation for Campaign to restore this important but tragically lost heritage.
Book via Eventbrite. Concessions available.
