Delivering an inclusive design legacy

17 June 2022

16:00 -19:30

Inclusive design has been at the cornerstone of delivering London 2012 and the regeneration of this part of East London. This two-part event celebrates how this has influenced the development of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This includes a tour form 4pm-5:30pm, followed by a panel discussion from 6pm -7:30pm.

The guided tour will visit parts of the Park; focusing on the public realm and how this has been made more inclusive. This will be followed by a panel discussion. Using a case study within the Park, different ‘actors’ will explain how the tools and processes have delivered this more inclusive built environment. The session will conclude with perspectives about how we can use these lessons, collectively act and create a more inclusive London.

Contributions from Helene Raynsford - London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) Board Member & Paralympian, Phil Graham - Executive Director - Good Growth GLA, the Built Environment Access Panel members, Global Disability Innovation Hub, LLDC, Inclusive design experts, Legacy Youth Voice and PRP Architects.
