Chobham Manor – Olympic neighbourhood walking tour

Built on the site of the Olympic basketball arena, Chobham Manor is the first Olympic neighbourhood to be completed, with the final blocks finishing in early summer 2022. On this walking tour led by LLDC we will explore this new family friendly neighbourhood which is centred around a series of child friendly play spaces, and includes a variety of residential buildings and commercial & community spaces.

Building new neighbourhoods is the work of many hands, CM was designed collaboratively by an award winning team: AHMM, Haworth Tompkins, KCA, Make, muf architecture/art, Nord and PRP. We will hear from these building & landscape architects, the developers & residents. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities in how housing can provide the infrastructure for the transition towards a low carbon lifestyle, and the role that individuals behaviour & lifestyle choices play in this, with opportunities for questions and a lively discussion!
