A live music and visual event to celebrate the album of sound and images by artists Steffi Klenz, Brownsilla and Boss B, featuring Peter Adjaye and Music for Architecture. The event will also mark the launch of the Camden People’s Museum augmented reality app which enables people to interact with the artwork and music through an immersive digital experience in the architectural space of Maiden Lane estate.
Before lockdown Maiden Lane rap artists Brownsilla and Boss B collaborated with photographic artist Steffi Klenz. As artists in residence at the Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre, they explored the histories of Maiden Lane, using maps, newspapers, court reports and images.
Weaving these stories with their own experiences of living and being in Camden, the artists reflect on what has been, and of its relevance to lives today. The resulting album, Tensed Muscles, made in collaboration with sound artist Peter Adjaye, presents a complex view of Maiden Lane, one of tension and frustration but also of confidence and optimism.
Supported by University of the Creative Arts, Music for Architecture, Camden Alive and Camden Council.
Please note a photographer will be capturing the event
