Starting near Westminster Abbey and ending near the Houses of Parliament, this walk explores the extraordinary range of public sector buildings to be found off the beaten track. Philanthropists to be discovered include George Peabody and architects include Edwin Lutyens. We end with considering a large new controversial public memorial planned for what is currently an open public space. The walk will be led by Mike Marriott, qualified Westminster Guide.
