Dwelling in the Shadow of Kings Cross: A Community Responds

12 June 2022

15:00 -17:00

We will look at the architectural highlights, public realm, social housing, historic residential squares, and the changes to bring historic elements suitable to a modern use. The walk will start in Kings Cross and finish in Bloomsbury. Along the way we will see the Hillview Estate, Tonbridge and Judd Streets, Camden Town Hall, with pubs, mansion blocks, and open spaces along the way.

The walk will be led by Daniel Hausherr, a man with a love of local architecture, industry, history and green spaces, and Chris Foster, once a Bobby on the Beat in this area fifty years ago. Every street has a story to tell.
