Join EPR Architects at the RSBC (Royal Society for Blind Children) Life Without Limits Centre for an immersive sensory touch tour of the charity’s new headquarters that transforms an unused basement car park in the City into an engaging hub of activity.
Accessible and open to all, the tours aim to empower participants to connect with the space through the act of touch – helping them understand how blind and visually impaired people connect with the material world around them.
With the opportunity to practice the use of visual memory, the tours led by the architects who worked on the project will enable participants to fully engage in the centre which is an exemplar of inclusive design - a palette of high contrast and tactile materials improves the sensory navigation of the space and varying acoustic levels, smells and colours help users navigate the centre using their other senses.
