Join The British Academy this June as we once again throw open our doors for our annual two-day Summer Showcase, a free festival of ideas, back in person after two years online.
Alongside a free programme of pop-up talks, workshops and performances, 12 interactive exhibits will bring to life the latest humanities and social sciences research shaping the world today.
They include:
—'Made in Migration IRL', featuring real-life, contemporary experiences of forced displacement in Europe
—'The Architecture of Displacement: Twinning İzmir and London', engaging with two of the defining global challenges of our times: large scale displacement and rapid urbanisation
—'How a wooden ceiling reveals medieval Spain's diverse culture'
—'Tyred: the urban ecology and economy of waste tyres in Lagos, Nigeria'
Meet the brightest minds in architecture, politics, linguistics, psychology, sociology and more, and be inspired to think differently about the world around you.
