The Davidson Prize presents an exhibition showcasing the longlist, finalist and winning entries of its 2022 edition.
With the theme of ‘Co-Living: A New Future?’ this year’s brief asked whether co-living could be a solution to the way we think about our homes, as well as our communities. This is particularly apposite given the UK’s well-documented undersupply of homes, leading to today’s generation rent as well as burgeoning visible and invisible homelessness. From apartment blocks to one-off houses,
Faced with the implications of an ageing population, rising costs of care and the environmental price of energy and embodied carbon, the demands being placed on the spaces we live are more complex than ever before so it is time to act and seek design solutions that rethink our models of home.
The exhibition features a range of co-living concepts and will launch following the award ceremony on 14 June.
