The workshop will engage with our local community around Church Street and with King Solomon Academy, a local school linked to our RIBA Ambassadors role, improving pupils and the wider community’s awareness of the importance of nature and natural landscapes within the urban environment.
The workshop will begin with pupils and participants bringing cuttings and seeds from home to plant within the school garden and continue with a workshop in the school hall focussed on ways of improving our environment and strategies of action, and on the benefits productive green spaces bring to our cities.
The event is linked to our wider participation with the King Solomon Academy as RIBA Ambassadors in their Enrichment Programme, where we are supporting pupils in the creation of Bird Houses from sustainable materials. Our aim is to showcase and discuss the results of the students’ endeavours and celebrate their achievements.
The event will be led by Farrells and Exterior Architecture helped with teachers, and the local community
This event is open to all who are passionate about Urban Landscaping!
