Mare Street; The new home of Morris+Company; a study in circularity and reuse

In May 2022, Morris+Company move to their new home in #MareStreet #Hackney. The studio will occupy three inter-connecting floors of a converted warehouse, prioritising low intervention, circular and environmental principles throughout. As well as space for over 50 flexible workstations, the scheme incorporates a street facing, publicly accessible event and exhibition hall, a plant based/zero waste/hyper seasonal bar/kitchen catering for our team and the wider community, an integrated model lab, a photography space, a materials and model archive, multiple flexible meeting spaces and a courtyard. The event on the 17th June is an opportunity to showcase this new space in the heart of Hackney's creative district, and give the public and collaborators an opportunity to experience the space first hand, in anticipation of a programme of events and lectures which will run annually.
