For over 500 years the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has had impressive homes in London, our current the Grade I listed modernist building designed by Denys Lasdun on the edge of Regent’s Park. Last year, part of the RCP moved into to a new northern home in Liverpool, The Spine. The Spine was designed by Robert Hopkins, a Director of the multi-award winning architectural and building consultancy practice AHR, as a base for events, activities and services for RCP members in the north.
Join us for a virtual event to explore both our Regent’s Park and Liverpool homes and to discover the architectural influences behind the designs. You will hear from the architect of the Spine Robert Hopkins and curator of the exhibition ‘The anatomy of a building: Denys Lasdun and the Royal College of Physicians’ Sarah Backhouse.
Explore how the needs of a changing society at different points in time influenced these exceptional buildings.
If you book onto an event you'll be providing your information directly to the event organiser rather than to the LFA and their privacy policy will apply.
