Traverse through the journey of the evolution of India’s architectural landscape through the lens of a fifty-year-old Indian architecture practice whose work and style have evolved over the decades, from the post-independence era to the present, with the changing needs and conditions of a developing nation.
‘Five Decades of India’s Built Environment’ is an exhibition of selected works of CP Kukreja Architects, a multidisciplinary architecture practice based in New Delhi, India. The exhibition will showcase pertinent projects, from landmark modernist buildings in the 70s that aimed at birthing a new architectural identity for an independent India to the present with projects that are at the forefront of cutting-edge innovation and sustainability while being rooted in local culture and tradition.
From institutions to housings to factories and mixed-use developments, the exhibition will feature meaningful spaces from across timelines that continue to inspire and enable people to ‘act’.
