Join the curators of The Garden of Privatised Delights, the 2021 British Pavilion now on display at The Building Centre, for a public space crawl across Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia.
Over two hours, we will visit different examples of privatised public spaces that inspired the design of the different installations in the exhibition. From historic privatised public spaces like the pub to enclosed enclaves like the garden square to networked spaces up and down the high street, we will discuss how these types of public space can be opened up to be used and accessed by all.
The tour will culminate at the Building Centre to visit the exhibition and see how these spaces have been transformed into Gardens of Delight.
