Members of United Voices of the World - Section of Architectural Workers (UVW-SAW) open our house for a weekend of collective action: all architectural workers are invited.
Our trade union office in Bethnal Green will be transformed into a two-day town-hall for the sector, bringing together activist groups campaigning to change architectural work for the better, including Architects Climate Action Network, Future Architects Front, and members of the 1970s Lucas Plan. Participate in poster-making workshops, talks, installation, a film screening and Q&A, drop-in employment surgeries and a party.
Act in solidarity: join us to learn about historic and contemporary efforts to transform the sector and collectively build a future of architectural work which is equitable for workers, environment, and society.
This will be a worker-centred weekend. In order to make it a safer space for those attending, we ask that no-one with the power to hire and fire attend.
